Fingal LEADER Partnership are excited to share that we will be delivering Smart Village Training for Rural Dublin, in partnership with KPMG Future Analytics.

This is an exciting opportunity for community groups to become involved and to learn what Smart Villages can do for their area and organisation.

The aim is to produce a Smart village Action Plan for the follow areas:

  1. The Fingal Villages (Open to any rural groups or individuals based in or around Ballyboughal, Naul, Oldtown and Garristown.).
  2. Lusk (Open to any rural groups or individuals based in or around Lusk)
  3. Balbriggan (Open to any rural groups or individuals based in or around Balbriggan)
  4. Lucan (Open to any rural groups or individuals based in or around Lucan North & Castleknock-Knockmaroon)
  5. Glencullen (Open to any rural DLR groups/individuals)
  6. Rathcoole (Open to any rural South Dublin groups/individuals)

We are hoping that representatives from community groups and interested citizens in these areas will be get involved.

The course Launches with in-person events as follows:

Fingal Groups: Thursday the 13th of April at the Bracken Course hotel  (18:30 – 20:30)

              Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Groups: Monday the 17th of April at Glencullen Community Hall (18:30 – 20.30)

              South Dublin Groups: Thursday the 13th of April at Rathcoole Community Centre (18:30 – 20:30)

Training will run online each Thursday (18:30 – 20:30) until June.

Community garden launch at TU Dublin Blanchardstown

There is a new Community garden jointly supported by FCC, Global Action Plan and TU Blanchardstown launching soon on the Blanchardstown campus of TU Dublin. ‘Empowering You, Empowering Community’ Ongar Community Centre 8 week programme/Aladdin Easter panto show.

Ongar Community Centre is running an 8 week programme on topics mentioned in poster from the 18th of April from 7.00 to 9.00pm, register at Ongar Community Centre email: or contact 01 826 0366 for further details . Also the Centre is running a production of Aladdin for their Easter Panto on the 12th of April starting at 3pm.Tickets are priced at €5 and can be purchased at the reception desk.
