10 Network Centres to Receive Community Centre Investment Funding

This past week the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, announced funding of over €12.5 million for the upgrade and development of almost 600 community centres nationwide and 10 of these are part of the Fingal Community Facilities Network.

The successful Network centres that will receive funding are:

The new Community Centre Investment Fund (CCIF) will support these centres to carry out refurbishments and improvements of their local community facility.

The Community Centre Investment Fund is a new scheme introduced by Minister Humphreys and represents the largest single investment in community centres in decades. This announcement of Category 1 projects will be followed by further funding announcements for larger scale projects in the coming weeks, which could include more Network centres.

Energy Supports Announced in Budget 2023

Budget 2023 saw the announcement of schemes to help community centres and other businesses with rising energy costs. The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment’s Budget package contains 5 schemes in the form of direct supports and loans.
