TITLE Gym Manager
REPORTING TO General Manager
The Gym Manager will report to the Manager and will be responsible for all aspects of the Health & Fitness operation. He/she will oversee and/or ensure that the Fitness Studio and associated facilities are ready for use, in terms of equipment, cleanliness and availability.
The Gym Manager will direct the Fitness Studio team in order to develop the facility to reach its full potential with particular emphasis on customer service and membership retention.
Experience: 2 years minimum experience as a Fitness Manager, Fitness Instructor Qualifications, First Aid, Manual Handling.
DUTIES;

- Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Health & Fitness area, ensuring that the required levels of staffing, safety, security, and levels of cleanliness are maintained.
- To provide leadership, motivation guidance and control for Fitness Studio staff.
- Supervise all Fitness Studio staff, handle inquiries and complaints, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Supervise and train Fitness Studio staff in accordance with management policies and the directions of the Manager.
- Oversee regular checks on all equipment to ensure a high level of efficiency and safety.
- Promote the facility through memberships as well as relevant special offers.
- Supervise and assist individuals in the monitoring and setting up of fitness programmes for all Fitness Studio clients.
- Ensure fitness assessments are carried out for all users prior to commencing fitness programme.
- Design and maintain Fitness programmes for all clients.
- Ensure website and Facebook page are kept up to date with information relating to gym and fitness classes
- Instruct Fitness Classes as required.
- Monitor all clients entering the club and validate membership.
- Show prospective clients around the Fitness Studio, with a view to selling membership.
- Ensure a clean and hygienic environment for clients in which they can participate in fitness activities comfortably and safely.
- To monitor all areas of the Fitness Studio and related activities to ensure that it is operated in compliance with Health and Safety Acts and any other legislation guidelines, fire precautions and other codes of practice.
- Accept general responsibility for the safety of all clients participating in fitness activities.
- To prepare and submit such reports and information in respect of the operation of the Fitness Studio as required by the Manager.
- Undertake such duties as may from time to time, be allocated by the Manager.
- It is understood that under no circumstances may any Gym Instructor/Manager engage in private work or personal training of their clients while on duty for DPCC Ltd.
The Gym Manager will focus day to day on the following tasks:
- To help and assist in the oversee the smooth running of the facilities
- Ensure that the buildings are presented at the highest levels of cleanliness and customer service to the people that use the facilities
- To consistently develop and improve operational procedures
- Effectively implement and monitor the Health and Safety policy and associated procedures
- Deal with customer enquiries and complaints.
- Maintain effective communication with all customers.
- To undertake any other duties as reasonably required by the General manager
