About Fingal International Women’s Day 2026
Fingal International Women’s Day 2026 is a significant initiative led by
Fingal County Council’s Community Development Department,
designed to celebrate and raise awareness of this important global
occasion. This year, an extensive programme of over 65 events will
take place across the county from March 2nd to March 8th,
highlighting the achievements, contributions, and roles of women in
our communities.
In 2026 the theme for International Women’s Day 2026 is ‘Give to
Gain’. Give To Gain places emphasis on the power of reciprocity and
support. When people, organisations, and communities give
generously, opportunities and support for women increase; whether it
be through knowledge, resources, infrastructure, visibility, advocacy,
education, training, mentoring, or time.
The events are organised by various local groups and community
organisations, offering a diverse range of activities that cater to
different interests and needs. These include engaging information
sessions, inspirational leadership talks, and interactive workshops
focused on self-care, well-being, and personal development.
Participants can enjoy activities such as yoga, mindfulness sessions,
fitness classes, and other wellness-focused events aimed at promoting
both physical and mental health.
Most events are open to everyone, providing an excellent opportunity
to meet new people, connect with the community, and be part of
meaningful conversations that celebrate women’s achievements and
progress.
To get involved, we encourage you to explore the available events,
which have been divided into the electoral areas for your convenience,
choose the ones that interest you, and reach out to the event
organisers to book your place.
