About our centre

The Rivervalley & Rathingle Community Centre is open 9am to 10pm seven days a week. We always support new groups helping them establish into the community, we want the centre to be positive place allowing everyone to take part:

• Sport • Leisure • Community Development • Educational and Recreational Activities • Cultural Events • Sensory Spaces

We provide affordable community space for groups and organisations in the Rivervalley/ Rathingle and surrounding areas.

The Centre contains a number of multi-purpose rooms ranging in size from 14.7m² to 68.5m² which can be used for various activities, training or meetings. 

The Centre is also equipped with Wifi available throughout the building.

Currently the Centre hosts a wide range of groups.

The Centre provides free meeting space for Residents Associations and room hire rates for other groups are very competitive.

History of the centre

Set up on the 11th of December 1991 to provide a safe, accessible, and welcoming community facility in the local environs.

Our aim is to provide high quality sport, leisure, community, and recreational facilities for all. The ongoing purpose of the Community Centre is to benefit the residents by the provision, maintenance & operation of a centre that provides facilities for community activities, training courses, cultural activities, recreational activities for all ages and abilities and meeting rooms for local groups. We always endeavor to meet the ever-changing needs of our community. We welcomed almost 120,000 people in 2024.

The centre is owned by the local community so come and get involved in your centre.

Our mission

Working within our communities to provide a safe and welcoming centre, we invest in opportunities that enrich the lives of our diverse locality and support people to engage, connect and grow. We continue to build an integrated and supported community along with our DSP Community Employment project, TUS employees and volunteers, supported by the Community Dept., Fingal County Council
