About our centre

Mountview Family resource Centre is open 9am to 10pm Monday to Friday and at weekends as need arises. We want the centre to be a positive hub for the community allowing everyone to take part in:

family Support carried out by the principles of Community Development.

Our core aim is to support families with a particular emphasis on those most isolated and marginalised. Whether its by learning new skills, taking part in our recreational/educational classes and activities or our developmental programmes.

We also provide counselling for individuals, couples and families. Our play therapy service is for children aged 4 to 12 years.

Meeting RoomsSuitable for a variety of programmes and activities for all the family.
KitchenIdeal for cooking workshops and demonstrations. Great space for all to enjoy a cuppa and chat to combat isolation in the community.
Office SpaceWe provide office space to community organisations when available.
CounsellingWe have a dedicated counselling room and counselling is provided by a qualified counsellor in conjunction with genesis. A wide range of issues can be addressed.
Play TherapyDedicated space for individual and group play therapy for children aged 4 to 12 years.

History of the centre

Mountview Family Resource Centre’s core funding comes from TUSLA and the work carried out is in line with the 5 National Outcomes for children and families.

The facility is leased from Fingal County Council and Managed on behalf of Fingal County Council by a Management Committee. Funding is received from Fingal County Council to support the management and maintenance of the facility.
