Blakestown CRC hosting Go For Life Physical Activity Leaders (PALs) Workshops

News General News

Are you interested in becoming a PAL?

Age & Opportunity’s Go for Life with the support of Fingal Sports Office and Fingal’s Community Development Section are providing eight Free PALS Training Workshops. The workshops are aimed at older people and those working with them, who are interested in leading physical activities with members of their groups/club and organisations.  Having a PAL in a group or organisation is a valuable asset to have when applying for Age & Opportunity National Grant Scheme for Sport and Physical Activity for Older People each year.

  • You must attend at least 6 workshop days where possible. The Basic Principles and Pals Skills workshops are compulsory.
  • Workshops are free of charge and refreshments will be provided on the day.
  • All workshops have a physical activity element, so casual leisurewear and flat, comfortable shoes should be worn.
