Baldoyle Community Christmas Craft Fair

News General News

The sun shone all day over Baldoyle for their 7th Annual Christmas Craft Fair on Sunday 5th December, held outside the Baldoyle Community Hall.

This year was twice as big as previous years with over 45 stalls in 2 locations filled with wonderful crafts. Santa was kept busy all day in his cosy grotto, giving out gifts to all the good children.  Visitors were serenaded with carols and songs from Baldoyle Musical Society, Song and Dance Stage School, Canbelto Women’s Choir and The Forget Me Nots and an impressive performance was given by the Kieron Brady School of Irish Dancing.

At the end of a fabulous day Baldoyle’s own Cllr. Joan Hopkins counted the crowd down to the lighting of the Christmas tree , whcih was followed by free Mulled Wine at The White House .

The organisers wish to their great team of 22 volunteers and to Fingal County Council Events for the funding.  The outdoor event was estimated to have 2,500 visitors over the course of the day with 160 children visiting Santa, proving to be the most successful Christmas Fair yet.
