Now in its nineteenth year, the All-Ireland LAMA (Local Authority Members Association) Awards recognise and honour the ways in which communities and councils work together to help improve people’s lives.
This year saw 31 local authorities across Ireland nominate a record 311 projects. These include initiatives covering Community, Economic Development, Facility/Infrastructure, Collaboration & Leadership and Environment. Testament to its success, Keen to Be Green made the shortlist under best environmental project ! Being recognised alongside other significant Fingal County Council & National initiatives, is a measure of the programme’s success and each centres commitment to achieving the aims and objectives of the Keen to Be Green Charter.
Recognising the work undertaken in communities, CEO OF Fingal County Council – Annmarie Farrelly acknowledged the positive collaborations enabling staff and services to deliver significant benefits to the people of Fingal before thanking and congratulating everyone involved.
